Using culinary text books, matching exercises, and an "Old Maid" style card game, classroom chefs learn and distinguish cooking vocabulary. They identify terms and techniques used in a chicken/vegetable stir fry demonstration.

Students play a game of math rummy where they add up playing cards to reach a target number. In this math rummy lesson plan, students each get 4 cards. 

Students play a math game using teacher-created cards that target a specific math skill. They solve the presented equations and check their answers with one another. If they are correct they keep a card, if not the card is discarded.
