High schoolers examine and identify the various parts of the sewing machines. As a class, they watch a demonstration by their teacher to discover how the machine operates. To end the lesson, they review how to operate the machine safely.

Learners practice 12 different water color techniques and then use at least 5 of the techniques to create a painting of a landscape.
