Pupils discuss rainforest destruction, and brainstorm ways to save the rainforests. They identify and discuss groups dedicated to conserving the rainforest, and conduct a rainforest party.

Learners examine plants found in the rainforest, and discuss products that come from rainforest plants. They examine books about rainforest plants, list foods they have eaten that come from the rainforest, and have a rainforest party.

Learners trace the migration route of a gray whale. They color and label a map of North America, and using photocopy pictures of a gray whale, they move the whale along the migration route over a ten week period.
