Young scholars take part in a fun holiday circuit training activity that promotes good sportsmanship and encourages students to challenge themselves using a variety of throwing and catching tasks.

Students participate in a tag game involving aspects of the Hanukkah holiday. They discuss the basic tenets of Hanukkah, then play the tag game, with the Candle Makers as taggers and the students tagged freezing into position as candles.

Students practice moving in general space and to increase listening skills.To enhance movement during this activity ask them to perform a variety of different locomotor skills as they move throughout the space.

Third graders study Thanksgiving. In this physical education and spelling lesson, 3rd graders play a race game by being the first group who can spell the word Thanksgiving first.

Learners participate in a game involving their motor skills. With a partner, they are given a menorah and bean bags and they decide who carries the candles. After discussing the history of Hanukkah, they practice their locomotive skills.

Students practice various locomotor skills at six different stations. They move a 'bunny' down a 'trail' to track their progress. All of the activities must be done as a group and stress teamwork and sportsmanship.

Students are introduced to several traditional Japanese sports and games. Students organize an 'Undokai' - a sports day in which they compete in teams.
