High schoolers are asked how does odors move around without energy? They relate concentration gradients, diffusion, and equilbrium and predict water movement into and out of cells. Students are shown a demonstration where the teacher sprays room deodorizer in one corner of the room and high schoolers raise their hands when they smell it.
