Students formulate the criteria for leadership in the Jamestown colony in order to develop understanding of early U.S. government. In this history activity, students read an article about leadership in this colony and rate each leader by creating a leadership criteria chart. Small groups of students then choose a candidate that meets the most criteria and explain their reasoning to the class.
