High schoolers are given some components of an experiment, where they are able to identify and fill in missing parts, such as hypothesis, conclusion, results, etc. They form a hypothesis given general scientific facts. Students apply the components of the scientific method and a lab report to one of the two labs run in class to prepare a poster as they would for a science fair.
