Young scholars practice word patterns while playing the game of tic tac toe. In this sounding out accuracy lesson plan, students work with a partner to pick a word from a pile of words. Young scholars then sound out the word from the pile of words and must correctly pronounce the word in order to mark their tic tac toe spaces. Students continue to play with their partner until there is a winner.
